David James Ishizaki, 49, of Springfield, died at 5:33 p.m. on Wednesday, 14 December 2011 at St. John's Hospital.
David was born 31 March 1962 in Chicago, the son of Robert Tadashi and Ruth Louise Ishizaki. He married Deanna Marie Craig on October 3, 1987 in Chatham.
David was a 1981 graduate of Springfield High School and received a certificate in auto mechanics from Lincoln Land Community College. David proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was a bus driver for Laidlaw, a security guard for Burns and was a cashier at various places. He had been in a bowling league at Spillway Lanes and he enjoyed it very much. David enjoyed computers, spending time with his sons and dogs, and helping others.
He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents.
He is survived by his wife, Deanna Ishizaki of Springfield; sons, Brian Underwood and Patrick Ishizaki, both of Springfield; mother, Ruth Ishizaki of Springfield; siblings, Elizabeth Douglas and Robert Ishizaki, both of Springfield; and one niece and three nephews.
Cremation was accorded by Lincoln Land Cremation Society.
Burial will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, 21 December 2011 at Camp Butler National Cemetery with military honors provided by Department of Defense.
