Tribute & Message From The Family


James D. Kuizin, 77, of Springfield, died at 10:33 a.m. on Saturday, March 17, 2012 at Memorial Medical Center.

James was born March19, 1934 in Springfield, the son of Anthony John and Eileen Follis Kuizin. He married Jacqueline Simmons.

James was a graduate of Lanphier High School and retired from Fiat-Allis after 30 years of service. He proudly served our country in the U.S. Army. James enjoyed watching sports, especially golf. His greatest joy was being with his grandchildren and flower and vegetable gardening, he was especially proud of his tomatoes.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, George Leroy and Anthony John Kuizin.

He is survived by his wife, Jacqueline Kuizin of Springfield; two sons, Tom (wife, Susan) Kuizin and Jim Kuizin; one daughter, Marcia (husband, Mike) Barnard all of Springfield; six grandchildren, Nicholas and Matthew Barnard, Amber Hemphill, Jordyn Freeland, Cassie Kuizin and Tracy Kuizin; two great-grandchildren, Brynn and Landon Barnard; one half-brother, Pete (wife, Sandy) Kuizin of California; one nephew, Allen (wife, Karla) Kuizin of Riverton; several cousins and good friend, Judith A. Guinn of Springfield.

Cremation was accorded by Lincoln Land Cremation Society.

Graveside Ceremony: 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 22, 2012 at Camp Butler National Cemetery, where military honors will be provided. Friends and family are welcome to join the family at a luncheon held at Knights of Columbus Hall #4175, 2801 West St., Springfield following the graveside ceremonies.

Thursday, I will lay my husband to rest. We are going to make the last leg of his journey here on earth together and his ashes will be placed at Camp Butler. Thank you to all who have sent me condolences and know that Jim gave his soul over to the Lord many years ago and is present with the Lord now. God bless you my husband, my friend. May God hold you until we meet again.
