Elvira Elmore Charles, 85, of Lexington, KY, departed this life on Friday, May 8, 2015 in Springfield, IL.
She was born March 29, 1930 in Coraopolis, PA, the daughter of Charles Jennings Bryan and Julia Woods Elmore.
She was a graduate of St. Catherine's Academy and attended the Kentucky College of Business.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings, John and Joseph Elmore, and Julia Hamburg, as well as a daughter, Julie Woods Charles.
She is survived by her son, John Charles of Springfield, IL and many nieces, nephews, and cousins, who will fondly remember their Aunt Bidy.
Cremation was accorded by Lincoln Land Cremation Society.
A celebration of her life will be held sometime in June at her home in Lexington. Burial will be private.
