Marcia Miller, 61, of Good Hope, IL, died at 12:30 a.m. on Monday, October 21, 2013 at her residence.

Marcia was born on October 6, 1952 in Canton, IL, the daughter of Francis L. and Jacquelyn C. Campbell Clary. She married John J. Miller on June 16, 1984 in Mackinaw, IL.

Marcia was a graduate of Washington High School in Washington, IL and earned her Bachelor's degree in Library Science at Western IL University. She was employed by Macomb Community Unit School District 185 for approximately 20 years as a librarian, an individual aide in a special education classroom, and a teacher's aide in a preschool classroom. In her spare time during the summer, she worked part-time for the Park District, teaching classes in photography, pioneering, and outdoor education. She was a life-long Girl Scout and was continuously active with them. Marcia was the current chaplain and historian, as well as a past president of the American Legion Auxiliary in Macomb. She enjoyed photography, genealogy, camping and arts and crafts, especially pottery and ceramics. She was an enthusiastic nature lover, bird watcher, and avid star gazer.

She was preceded in death by her father, Francis Clary.

She is survived by her husband, John Miller of Good Hope, IL; daughter, Erin Michelle (husband, Nathan) Friedly of Pleasant Hill, OH; son, Michael B. Miller of Pleasant Hill, OH; mother, Jacquelyn C. Campbell of Washington, IL; siblings, Dawn (husband, Gordy) Anderson of Charlotte, NC and Max (wife, Angie) Clary of Brownsburg, IN; and several nieces and nephews.

Cremation was accorded by Lincoln Land Cremation Society.

The family will host a Memorial Gathering from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the Memorial Ceremony at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, November 1, 2013 at the Macomb High School Library, 1525 S. Johnson St., Macomb, IL 61455.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Legion Auxiliary Unit #6, 221 E. Washington St., Macomb, IL 61455 or the McDonough District Hospital Hospice Program, 525 E. Grant St., Macomb, IL 61455.
