Martin "Marty" Weller, 69, of Springfield, passed away at 11:10 a.m. on Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at Memorial Medical Center.
Marty was born October 8, 1944 in Springfield, the son of Russell and Naomi Ruth Cruthis Weller. He married Dorothy Vaughn Bowdler on February 1, 1974.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Elmer and Lloyd Weller.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Weller of Springfield; his children, Jeffrey Weller of Jacksonville, FL, Alandra Weller-Clarke of Chicago, Timothy Bowdler of Jacksonville, FL, and adopted daughter, Laken Lacey-Castrillo of Arlington, TX; three grandchildren, Miles Bowdler of Jacksonville, FL, Hunter Clarke of Chicago, IL, and Skylar Kuo-Weller of Jacksonville, FL; four siblings, Russell (wife, Evelyn) Weller, Marie (husband, Howard) Andrews, Kitty (husband, Jake) Bedolli, all of Springfield, and Naomi Shinall of Texas; one sister-in-law, Tudy Weller of Springfield; and several nieces and nephews.
Cremation will be accorded by Lincoln Land Cremation Society.
No funeral arrangements are planned per Marty's request.
